Our programs are designed to give students a chance to complete their training at a much faster pace than other schools. You’ll receive your education from expert technicians in your chosen field who will teach you the ins and outs of vehicles at a level you’ll truly understand.

WyoTech offers four core programs in Automotive Technology, , Diesel Technology, and Applied Welding Technology. In addition to a mandatory core program, we provide specialties in Advanced Diesel, Chassis Fabrication, High-Performance Power Trains, Street Rod, Trim and Upholstery, and Applied Service Management. WyoTech’s programs are built to train our mechanics hands-on. With focused training 8 hours a day, 5 days a week, for only 9 months, you can be job-ready at graduation.

6-Month Core Programs

All WyoTech students must select a 6-month core program and 3-month specialty program to finish their degree at WyoTech. Core programs help students learn a wealth of skills and discipline they can bring to the workplace.

3-Month Specialty Programs

WyoTech students select a 3-month specialty to pair with a core program as a requirement for attendance and graduation. This is how you finish your training and shift it into high gear.

Programs FAQs

How long does a program last?

A core program takes 6 months to complete. Specialty programs take 3 months to complete. You only need to complete one core program and one specialty program to graduate*!

*The only core program that doesn’t require a specialty program to graduate is Applied Welding Technology. This is a 6-month only program for graduation.

Does WyoTech offer online classes?

In order to provide the best education for our students and to develop the proper skills our students need to perform at an on-site job, we only have in-person training at our campus in Laramie, WY.
